Grayson Highlands 2014–Day 8 (on to the New River Trail)

Not to leave an opportunity, busywife got out for our last morning to pick more blueberries while busydad broke down camp.  Almost a half gallon – not bad!

One more visit to the feeder…

Rocket waiting to go.

Taking a goodbye photo from the overlook:

Then arriving at the New River Trail RV Park in Fries, VA.  Tom really takes excellent care of this small campground, and always makes you feel at home.  Every time we show up there is something new that he’s done!

This is a great spot for accessing the New River Rail Trail and has been a summer tradition of ours for years.  With the kids getting older, they’re just getting to where they can ride the trail themselves!  It’s a great trail for family rides as it’s generally flat and not crowded at all.

This time around, we had site #10.  Looking forward to a few more days of vacation before heading home!
